Payment of Fees

Fees are payable in advance and must be made:

(a) in full before the beginning of each term

(b) by direct debit on a 10 monthly basis from September to June

(c) in full before the beginning of the academic year

Childcare/Nursery Vouchers

These vouchers may be used in payment or part payment for Form One fees, Compass Care and Early Bird Care and for any after school club activities that take place on the School’s premises at West Road. Clubs that take place off site, such as Hockey or Ski Club cannot be paid for using vouchers. This is an HMRC requirement and in line with their guidelines.

Registration Fee

A non-refundable Registration Fee of £40 is requested when your child is registered for admission to the School.

Two terms before a child is due for entrance an acceptance form will be sent with a request for a deposit of £250 which will be repaid once all fees and extras for the child’s final term at The Compass School have been paid.

The fees deposit is not refundable if your child does not take up a place at the School.

A full term’s notice in writing to the Headteacher must be given by the first day of the previous term of the withdrawal of a child from School; otherwise the next term’s fees will be charged.

Please note:  The absence of a pupil does not lessen the cost of running the School; therefore the School regrets that it is unable to refund fees.

The School reserves the right to issue a penalty surcharge, of 4% above the Bank of Scotland base, rate for accounts still unpaid after three weeks.  Reminder notices for unpaid tuition fees and extras will be issued three weeks after the start of each term.  Subsequent reminder letters may incur a £20 administrative fee.
